A Dictionary of Proper Names and Notable Matters in the Works of Dante, Volumen10

Paget Toynbee's dictionary of proper names and notable matters in the works of Dante, published in 1898, has now been revised and brought up to date. Although Toynbee did prepare an abridged edtion of the Dictionary (which as issued as A Concise Dictionary of Proper Names and Notable Matters in the Works of Dante, 1914), he never revised the larger original work. Professor Singleton has drawn on more than half a century of Dante scholarship for this revised edition, which now becomes the standard reference dictionary of Dante's works.
